Welcome to Adaptability Exercise Physiology! I’m Chanel Lehmkuhl, an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a passion for making exercise accessible and enjoyable for people of all abilities. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to improving lives through movement. My academic foundation, combined with years of hands-on experience, equips me to deliver personalised, results-oriented programs.
Expertise and Experience
- Specialising in Neurological Rehabilitation: I have extensive experience working with individuals with Spinal Cord Injuries, Acquired Brain Injuries, Cerebral Palsy, and other neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Activity-Based Therapy and Beyond: As an Activity Based Therapy certified therapist, I use advanced techniques like kneeling, crawling and locomotor training to help clients achieve their goals.
- Program Development and Leadership: In my role as the Motor Active Program Coordinator at the University of Queensland, I oversee the development and delivery of tailored physical activity programs for children and adolescents with disabilities.
- Holistic Care Across Settings: Whether in gyms, homes, hydrotherapy pools, or via telehealth, I ensure my clients receive exceptional care that fits their unique needs and environments.
